PEMBROKE, Ontario (February 17, 2017) – For immediate release

Award-Winning Architectural Designer Announces New Pembroke Office PEMBROKE, Ontario (February 17, 2017) – Jim Bell Architectural Design Inc. and the City of Pembroke are delighted to announce the opening of Jim Bell Architectural Design Inc.’s new Pembroke office. The office at 184A John Street is now open for business, with a grand opening event planned for early June.

Jim Bell has been delivering unique and beautiful custom home and cottage designs for many Pembroke-area clients over the years from his Stittsville/Ottawa office. Also experienced in commercial architectural design, Jim and his team are eager to serve the residents, cottagers, businesses and institutions from their new office right here in the heart of the Ottawa Valley. “It has always been my goal to return to my roots and I seized the opportunity to relocate Jim Bell Architectural Design Inc.’s main business office from Stittsville to downtown Pembroke,” said Jim Bell, President & CEO.

Mayor LeMay stated “We are delighted to have Jim Bell open an office in Pembroke, it certainly shows a commitment to the area and the potential that Pembroke has, emphasizing that Pembroke is a good place to do business.”

Jim is an Ontario Association of Architects (OAA Lic. ArchTech) Architectural Designer with extensive residential and commercial design experience. Jim studied at Algonquin College and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC Syllabus) and holds an Honours Degree in Building Design & Technology. His 30 years of experience began at practices in Calgary, Ottawa and Pembroke before co-founding a residential design build firm with two other associates in the fall of 1988. In 2000 Jim set out on his own and has been serving the greater Ottawa area and the Valley for 17 years as the President & CEO of Jim Bell Architectural Design Inc. He has won numerous awards for his custom home and renovation designs. “If I wanted a great design, on time, and on budget, my first choice would be Jim. He has great insight, great design, he’s easy to work with, gets it done quicker than most, and in the end will probably save you a pile of money,” said Dave, one of many satisfied clients.

Designing and building homes has been a long-standing tradition of the Bell family and a huge part of their heritage. Both Jim’s father and grandfather built a legacy of quality and a passion for craftsmanship, passing those values on to Jim as he grew up here in Pembroke. Says a recent Pembroke-area client, “Jim has a vision that is quite spectacular. He can see things that others cannot.”

With comprehensive experience in architectural design for residential as well as commercial projects, and thorough knowledge of construction, Jim Bell and his team demystify the complexities and manage the entire process of designing a custom home or cottage or completing a renovation. Jim’s proven design process culminates in designs for custom homes, cottages, retail and office spaces, dealerships and apartments that aren’t only beautiful and functional but also efficient and cost-effective to construct. He takes the time to really listen to his clients and understand their needs, wants, vision and dreams.

“Jim has a background in a variety of design and construction-related environments and offices which has provided him with significant skills in the design of buildings for both the private and public sectors, as well as the management skills to guide a project through construction,” said Chris Thuemen, retired Pembroke architect.
