Project description

Our recent Modern Craftsman design for clients on Big Rideau Lake makes the most of their exceptional waterfront property by highlighting the spectacular lake views throughout the home.

Designed for family living and welcoming guests, the striking covered entry opens into a comfortable foyer with immediate access to a sizable mud room featuring ample storage and a room-length bench seat. The mud room is also conveniently accessible from the garage entry.

From the foyer, the home flows into the open-concept great room, dining room, and kitchen — the heart of the home. Anchored by a large stone fireplace, the great room features a cathedral ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the lake views, and generous space for gathering and entertaining.

The dining area comfortably accommodates 10 around the large table and includes a mini fridge, wine cooler, additional dishwasher, and sink. It opens onto an expansive deck, partially covered and partially open to the sun and lake breezes. The kitchen features a 15-foot island with seating and a separate walk-in pantry.
