Project description
This revitalized space, once the Gananoque Kinsmen Community Hall, has been transformed into a modern, licensed daycare designed to meet current YMCA standards. Previously a daycare, it has been vacant since 2020. The building now features thoughtful, child-friendly updates to create a safe, engaging, and functional environment for 15 toddlers and 24 preschool children.
The renovated facility now offers:
- A welcoming, spacious daycare entrance with new front entry door and cubby area
- Change areas for the toddler and preschool spaces with shared toilets and table/counter space adjacent to the sink for changing diapers
- Dedicated toddler and preschool areas with ample storage, a counter with sink, and cabinets for food storage and small appliances
- A multi-purpose room for program flexibility and ample storage
- Reconfigured kitchen for improved flow, better functionality and accommodating new equipment
- Janitorial closet and storage
- Laundry area with storage
